Lisa's Favorite Meals for Summer Recipes

Summer is here and if you are anything like me, you are craving fresh, colorful veggies, cold juicy fruits, and lots and lots of time by the pool or beach!

On these long summer days we want, healthy, colorful, simple meals that can help us meet our health goals.






Here are a few easy and healthy summer meals that can support weight loss:


  1. Grilled chicken or fish with a side of steamed vegetables: Lean proteins like chicken or fish are low in calories and high in nutrients. Pair them with a colorful variety of steamed vegetables for a satisfying and nutritious meal.

  2. Fresh salad with grilled shrimp: Create a refreshing salad with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, and grilled shrimp. Top it with a light vinaigrette dressing for a flavorful and filling dish.

  3. Veggie skewers with quinoa: Thread colorful vegetables like bell peppers, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes onto skewers, and grill them. Serve the skewers alongside cooked quinoa for a well-rounded, fiber-rich meal.

  4. Zucchini noodles with lean meatballs: Replace traditional pasta with zucchini noodles (zoodles) and top them with homemade turkey or chicken meatballs and a light tomato sauce. It's a lighter alternative that still satisfies cravings.

  5. Watermelon and feta salad: Combine juicy watermelon chunks, crumbled feta cheese, fresh mint leaves, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze for a refreshing and light summer salad.


Remember, portion control and mindful eating are important factors for weight loss. Incorporate these meals into a balanced diet, and listen to your body's hunger and fullness cues.
