Four ways to keep peace in your work.

I read this little book, The Four Agreements, many years ago. I am guilty of many times not remembering the power of them. When I find myself not in a great place emotionally or I am not at peace... I do a check of the four and sure enough, it's one or more of the four that I am not in sync with.

I think they go along way in helping us live a peaceful life. I am sure of it! I want to talk about each one.

1. Be impeccable with your word. Just keep your word. Do what you say you are going to do and do your best to keep your word forever. Whether it's a big thing or a small thing. Keep your word and if you can't, own it, face it and explain why. People won't join your business if you don't keep your word. The news will spread and you will never grow a successful business.

2. Don't take anything personally. I could write about this one for days and days. Every single thing that you people do to you, for about or about you... has nothing to do with you. People do things from themselves in some way or another. If you are hurt or wounded by another, you can't take it personally. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU! Learning this agreement and living this can radically change your life. You may have back biting team members or you may have customers that complain. This is not about your unless you are guilty of breaking agreement #1. It can make you or break you in business and in sales. Keep going. Don't let the no's get to you. It's not personal.

3. Don't make assumptions. We have all done this. Someone doesn't call us back or we have a sale that we don't think we got and we assume we know the reason. Don't assume you know. Also, in texting and messaging this is sometimes an issue because people come across totally different in writing than in person. Don't assume you know what they mean! Pick up the phone and ask.

4. Always do your best. In sales the one agreement that would make you successful in your home based business It's this one! Just always do your best. Whether it's in your person life or in your business life. We instill this in our children but then we catch ourselves slacking on this one! You will have so much more peace when you go to bed at night knowing you did the best you can do.

I could write for hours about specific things on these four agreements when it comes to having personal peace. I promise you any time you are about to get upset, if you go through all of these... you will clearly see that you aren't keeping one of more of the agreements. Take these four agreements seriously. Invest in the little book by Miguel Ruiz. You will be able to have peace as you build a better life for yourself and your family. You will also be able to share this with those you love! I believe in you!
